Finally getting around to posting about Mother's Day. First Eric had me sleep in and then brought me Breakfast in bed. When I got up, there were POTTED roses on my kitchen table (just like i like) and a card from 'Alyzah and Daddy'. I was greeted by a cheerful little girl who was in such a good mood all day. Then Eric had a surprise for me. We drove downtown and walked out by the lake till we reached this...
Yes that is a cruise boat that took us around siteseeing beautiful Coeur d'Alene Lake for 2 hours! But that's not the only cool thing about this boat...
It had an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet on it! Now we're talkin! Eric ate 6 cheese cake pieces for dessert (plus other desserts of course)!
We had one of the best seats in the house...right by the window...and close to the food.
We chilled on the open top part of the boat for a lot of it where the views were stunning...
Alyzah loved looking at the water and the boat moving...
There were some houses we contemplated buying...we just can't decide if they quite reach our requirements though. :)
Then we went home, to find a face mask cream and foot cream on the counter for my at home spa treatment by Dr Eric. Wow what a day! It's easy for me to say that my husband is amazing after a day like this, but he's the most incredible husband every ordinary day of my life too. Always thinking about other people before himself, always happy, and always there for me. I love you Eric!

My Mom
I know a lot of people say this, but I mean this with all my heart - I have the best mom in the world. I don't know why I was so lucky in life to be given such a great mother but I thank Heavenly Father every single night for her. Words cannot express how much she has impacted my life, how much I love her, and how much I miss her.
Memories: laughing till we cry, laughing till we fall over, lots of hugs, hugging me for hours and not saying a word when I'm upset, saving animals on the side of the road..or the middle of the highway, screaming stuff that doesn't make sense at my sports games from the sideline, mom and dad laughing, talking for hours on end, calling 5+ times a day every single day, miscalling my phone 11 times just to find out how I did in my intramural softball game, bringing a subway hoagie, vitamins (10+), and gatorade to school for every single sports game, the loud speaker in high school saying "kelly please report to the office" and then finding mom in the office with a big smile claiming I have a doctors appointment once again (weekly occurance) so we can go shopping together or go out to lunch, grabbing my hand and pulling me as she ran to the clearance racks to beat the other ladies, saying 'your fathers going to kill me', taking phone calls from people she didn't know to help them with their Fribomyalia, doing my hair for every dance, pullin the 'witch doctor', opening 40 internet explorer screens on the computer and calling the computer a piece of crap when it freezes up, dancing in her 'tart cart' bus with her kids, driving with mom on the bus and having to lay down on a seat the whole time to hide from cops, taking care of Nautia, mom telling the missionaries details about my menstrual period over dinner, mom crying when she heard about other people's hardships who she didn't even know, mom singing at church and jumping up and down an octive midsentences, hand massages at church, crazy embarassing comments, mom revolving her life around us, so much love and happiness.

The Darnest Things Kids Say
One of my good friends Emily, went through a very serious surgery leaving her out of commission for a very long time. Emily always keeps her house very clean and is always going going and going. Her oldest child wrote one of the funniest letters I've ever heard a kid say in my life. I had to share it...
Laundry Helper
Alyzah is such a helper with the laundry. One of her favorite things to do is to take each article of clothing 1 at a time out of the dryer and hand them to you to fold. She'll wait a few seconds for you to accept the clothing from her and each time I say thank you! When she starts gaining on you and you are taking too long to accept the clothing she will lose her patience and just start chucking them over her shoulder. She LOVES it. When all the clothes are gone she cries and cries...and then heads for the basket of folded clothes to start over again. Gosh i love this girl.
Karaoke Machine
Alyzah is OBSESSED with our karaoke machine. She loves the music and dancing but most of all she loves the microphone and singing. She screams into the microphone at the top of her lungs over and over again. The neighbors probably love it. She also 'sings along' like this at church.
Easter Festivities
First Alyzah got her Easter basket which dad was very disappointed about because there were teething biscuits, crunchies, and DumDums. The only thing Alyzah cared about was the grass....
Then we hid 5 eggs around the living room for Alyzah to find. Dad again was disappointed because 3 of them were filled with crunchies and 2 of them were 'winner eggs' and had DumDums. Dad wanted to give her chocolate and candy. Alyzah actually went around and grabbed each egg herself when we pointed to them because she would shake the egg like a rattle to hear the crunchies move around inside. She thought it was really cool.
Next we put Alyzah's Easter Bunny ears on. She was more fascinated with Dad wearing them though...
Then Alyzah lost interest and wandered off to play with her Jumperoo, leaving us in the dust with her big evil smile and two little teeth hanging out.

Teething
You know your child is teething when you go to get them out of their crib in the morning and they've taken their socks off to have something to chew on.
