Zoo Fun

We bought a Zoo membership so we've been to the Zoo a lot and Alyzah loves it. When she was little her first words were Mommy and Dadda followed by every animal noise possible. She has always been OBSESSED with animals...she must get that from her "Grandma in Heaven" as she calls her.

My Baby is 2!!

My baby just turned 2 years old!!! I wish i could halt her growth and have her this age forever. Here's pics from her birthday (more to come later from the party at Grandpas w/ the bounce house)...

Good Time Potty Training

This morning we officially started potty training...Alyzah is flipping out and refusing to let me help with anything. So here is what happens without my help....

As you can see...she is really good at pulling up her big girl undies....styling the thong look, inside out undies, and even a small poop mark on them. Wow...

Sardines

Eating Sardines for lunch today and thinking of my sweet mother who used to pack me sardines sometimes for my school lunches in Elementary school. The entire cafeteria would reak like fish and everyone made fun of me and called me a sicko. I begged her not to give me those...but she didn't listen. Thank you mom...love you! Mary the Mother of Jesus

When I first had Alyzah I was overwhelmed with the feeling that I couldn't believe Heavenly Father trusted me to take care of and raise one of his sweet children. And then there was Mary. Heavenly Father trusted her to take care of his very own Son, his ONLY son, the Savior of the World. Out of every woman in the whole world who ever lived, Heavenly Father chose Mary. How incredibly high Heavenly Father must have thought of her. Can you image what a righteous, faithful, giving, clean, and pure woman she must have been to be worthy to raise Jesus Christ? You can only imagine the temptations that Satan probably threw her way but she remained strong and obedient to HF in raising her son.

In Luke 1:28 the Angel Gabriel tells Mary "Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." After the Angel Gabriel told her she would conceive a child at the age of 16 without having been with a man, Mary agreed to it and had faith that it was true. She said (vs 38) "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word". The Bible Dictionary says "Mary was a pure and chosen vessel".

And then Mary watched her very own son bleed, suffer horribly, and die on the cross and yet she still remained strong and faithful to the end. And Christ loved his mother and new her great worth. In extreme pain and agony as he hung from the cross, he used some of his last breaths possible to make sure John took care of his sweet Mother.

What a great example Mary is to me of a faithful woman and an exceptional mother.

Thanksgiving Vacation Trip to Utah

Started off on the Plane....

 She drove the people behind us nuts but they were good sports and claimed they didn't mind at all and played with Alyzah for hours.

I only took pics at two events of the trip so here they are...

 Me and Blain took the kids to Mickey D's. Playing on the playground (forgot to take camera out till we were leaving). The kids were soooo much fun here! Maico sent some kid flying though when the kid hit Masen...it was pretty funny. And he stood next to Masen to 'guard' him incase the kid came back too!

 Maico was 'teasing' Alyzah having fun the whole ride home and Alyzah thought it was really funny and kept giggling.

 He kept touching the back of her head and she'd laugh. But then she decided to get him back...

 By licking his finger every time he brought it near so he couldn't reach the back of her head! Those two had a lot of fun together.

 And there is sweet little Mason just playing on his own.

And Shhhhh nobody tell Betty that we let the kids eat chicken nuggets, apple fries, tons of french fries, an entire chocolate chip cookie each (maybe 2 for Maico! HA), and soda (Maico asked for it so what could we do say no!)  :) :) :)

THANKS FOR HAVING US ALL DAD!! It was a lot of fun and Alyzah loved hanging out with her Grandpa!
